Vascular Facial

Broken capillaries, also known as Telangiectasia and spider veins, are small congealed blood vessels measuring between 0.5 and 1mm in diameter. They occur through dilation of the blood vessels near the surface of the skin or through trauma. Telangiectasias can develop anywhere on the body but are commonly seen on the face around the nose, cheeks, and chin.

Telangiectasias are most commonly treated with vascular lasers. These devices are designed to emit light energy at a particular wavelength in order for optimal absorption in oxyhaemoglobin. The ability to trace isolated vessels for selective treatment, as opposed to large area surfaces such as with IPL, helps to achieve clinical results. Non-invasive laser platforms address capillaries on the face without anaesthesia, needles or downtime. Treatment is quick and well tolerated compared to older manual techniques such as diathermy and RF treatments.

The Pro Yellow 577nm laser is the most advanced laser for the treatment of Telangiectasia on the market today. Emitting a wavelength of 577nm, at the peak of absorption in oxyhaemoglobin, the Pro Yellow offers sophisticated delivery options including tracing and spot treating, along with full facial treatment ability.
