Vascular Facial

Broken capillaries, also known as Telangiectasia and spider veins, are small congealed blood vessels measuring between 0.5 and 1mm in diameter. They occur through dilation of the blood vessels near the surface of the skin or through trauma. Telangiectasias can develop anywhere on the body but are commonly seen on the face around the nose, cheeks, and chin.

Telangiectasias are most commonly treated with vascular lasers. These devices are designed to emit light energy at a particular wavelength in order for optimal absorption in oxyhaemoglobin. The ability to trace isolated vessels for selective treatment, as opposed to large area surfaces such as with IPL, helps to achieve clinical results. Non-invasive laser platforms address capillaries on the face without anaesthesia, needles or downtime.
